Stir You Up

Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.1

The mind is a peculiar thing. It can easily be distracted and swayed in the wrong direction. Thus, it is important to intentionally seek God daily in spirit and in truth.2

Therefore, I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. I think it right, . . . to stir you up by way of reminder.3

This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord, and Savior through your apostles, . . .4

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing, you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.5

God’s will for us particularly during these trying times, is to rejoice always, pray unceasingly, and give thanks in all circumstances.6
