    Count It All Joy

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.1 To the worldly this teaching is absurd. How can one rejoice while suffering? It […]

    A Call and an Assignment

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.1The word origin in Greek for breathed out are en—meaning “in” or “into” and phusao—“to blow”; and the verb empneo describes the act […]

    O God of Our Salvation

Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.”1 […]

The Reality of Death and Life

Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.1 We know of both a physical death and a physical life; likewise, we know the reality of a spiritual death and life. But many would rather believe that all physical death leads to a spiritual eternal […]

    God’s Love and Holiness

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”1 Paul knew his […]
  • God Is Love

    God Is Love

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but […]

    Heart Issue

Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast […]

    Blessed Are the Forgiven

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.1 At the right time2 Jesus came to bring good news3—what God had planned since the beginning, a new covenant revealed through Jesus, a new […]
  • Now I Know

    Now I Know

And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.1 Knowledge of God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son is prerequisite to salvation. One cannot claim salvation apart from the Son, whom the Father loves—This is my beloved Son with whom I am […]

    God’s Handiwork

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.1 Definitely, there is an intelligent being that created the universe. Consider the grandiosity and complexity of the cosmos—visually, we merely see the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars; […]

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mabuhay! Hola! Hi! I am George Rodriguez (or GR, for short). A husband. A father of two. And a Small Group Leader.

I married Stella on the 3rd of December 1990. We have a son and a daughter. As a father, it prides me that they both graduated magna-cum laude, B.S. Architecture and B. S. Interior Design, respectively. Now I got your attention!

Through the years, I’ve learned that Biblical principles work. It likewise states to “go make  disciples.” In doing so, I’ve learned that it helps me grow as I navigate life walking side-by-side with people. And that their growth is my joy. At my ripe age, I’ve practically swung the entire spectrum, left to right, with many ups and downs, and continue to have lots of heavenly questions as I go through the seasons. Nevertheless, only in hindsight can I say, God is infinitely good! READ MORE
